Couples ask us all the time which venues we like working with. Here's the honest, florist's-eye view of 10 popular OKC-area wedding venues — what's easy, what's tricky, and what we wish couples knew before they booked.
1. The Mayo Hotel — downtown OKC
A grand ballroom with high ceilings and lots of natural elegance. Centerpieces look small unless you go tall. Hanging florals work beautifully here.
2. The Skirvin Hilton — downtown OKC
Classic, photographs well, easy loading dock. Setup is straightforward. The chandeliers do the heavy lifting — your florals can be more restrained.
3. Coles Garden — north OKC
Outdoor venue with a real garden. Less is more here — heavy florals fight the natural setting. Bring water sources for outdoor ceremonies.
4. The Dunlap
Newer warehouse-style space. Industrial bones love textural florals. Tall installations look great against the exposed brick.
5. OKC Farmers Public Market
Open span, great natural light, oversized scale. Centerpieces need height to register. Plan for HVAC challenges in summer.
6. The Springs Event Venue (Edmond)
Multiple ceremony sites. Confirm with your coordinator which space you're using before you order — the lighting and scale change a lot.
7. Oak Tree Country Club (Edmond)
Traditional country club aesthetics. White-and-green works beautifully. The room takes color well too.
8. The Mansion at Woodward Park (Edmond)
Intimate, garden-adjacent. Smaller floral list, higher per-piece quality. We love this venue for elopements and 50-guest weddings.
9. Sam Noble Museum (Norman)
Unique architecture, beautiful natural light through the atrium. Centerpieces should complement, not compete.
10. The Welcoming House (Norman)
Garden venue, OU-area. Outdoor heat in summer is the planning constraint — we use water tubes and condition stems same-day.
